IIT JAM 2025 Exam Apply Online Form

The application process for IIT JAM 2025 will begin on September 3, 2024 and continue until October 11, 2024. The entire application process will be conducted online through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal at jam2025.iitd.ac.in.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for IIT JAM 2025, candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of their undergraduate program. Application Form

To fill out the IIT JAM 2025 application form, candidates need to follow these steps:

Register at JOAPS: Candidates must register on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal by providing their name, email address, mobile number, and creating a password.

Fill in the Application Details: After logging in, candidates can start filling out the application form. They need to provide the following information:

1. Exam Details: Candidates can select one or two test papers they wish to appear for. If selecting two papers, they must ensure that the exams are scheduled in different sessions.
2. Exam Center Details: Candidates can choose up to three cities where they want to take the test.
3. Personal Details: This section includes the candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, category, parents’ names, etc.
4. Correspondence Address: Candidates must provide the address where they want to receive any future communication, along with the pin code.
5. Educational Details: Candidates need to mention their educational qualification details, such as the name of the qualifying degree, year of passing, college/university name, marks obtained, etc.
6. Upload Documents: Candidates must upload the following documents in the specified format:

• Passport-size colored photograph (5 KB to 200 KB, 240 × 230 to 480 × 640 pixels)
• Signature (5 KB to 100 KB, 80 × 120 to 160 × 560 pixels)
• Other documents like mark sheets, certificates, and ID proof

Pay the Application Fee: After filling out the application form, candidates must pay the applicable fee online.

Admit Card

The IIT JAM 2025 admit card will be available for download from the official website in early January 2025. Candidates must bring a printout of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center.

Exam Pattern

IIT JAM 2025 will have a total of 60 questions carrying 100 marks. The exam will be conducted in two sessions of three hours each. The question paper will consist of three sections:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 30 questions of 1 mark each and 10 questions of 2 marks each
• Multiple Select Questions (MSQs): 10 questions of 2 marks each
• Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions: 10 questions of 1 mark each and 10 questions of 2 marks each

There will be negative marking for MCQs, with 1/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer carrying 1 mark and 2/3 marks deducted for each wrong answer carrying 2 marks.

Result and Admission

The IIT JAM 2025 result will be declared on March 16, 2025, and the scorecard will be available from March 25, 2025. Candidates who qualify the exam can apply for admission to various postgraduate programs at IITs, IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through the JAM 2025 admission portal, which will open on April 2, 2025.
