NIEPMD Recruitment 2024: The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) has issued a notification for the engagement of manpower on a temporary contract basis. The positions are offered under a three-year contract with a focus on empowering individuals with hearing impairments, specifically in the area of Indian Sign Language (ISL). The walk-in interview is scheduled to take place on 19th September 2024, at the NIEPMD campus in Chennai.

NIEPMD, functioning under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, is inviting eligible candidates to apply for three key positions. The roles being offered include Master Trainer (Deaf), Sign Language Instructor (Deaf), and Indian Sign Language Interpreter. The positions aim to enhance educational support for individuals with disabilities, particularly those who are hearing impaired.

Candidates selected for these positions will work on a contract basis for a duration of three years, during which they will receive a consolidated monthly honorarium. The Master Trainer (Deaf) role offers a salary of ₹45,000, while both the Sign Language Instructor and Interpreter roles offer ₹40,000 per month. The age limit for all posts is capped at 56 years.

Application Process and Important Instructions

Candidates interested in applying for these positions are required to attend the walk-in interview at the NIEPMD campus on 19th September 2024 at 10:00 AM. Applicants must bring a filled application in the prescribed format along with original certificates, self-attested copies, and two passport-sized photographs. A valid ID proof (Aadhar or any other government-recognized ID) is also mandatory.

The engagement will be on a purely temporary basis, and candidates will not have the right to claim any form of regularization, extension, or renewal of the contract. Additionally, no allowances such as DA, HRA, or medical allowances will be provided, and the selected candidates will be entitled to 1.5 days of paid leave for each completed month of service.
